Why Support Us
Your contribution is fundamental to our continued ability to empower bright students in the Bay Area with formative leadership opportunities in social entrepreneurship, and for them to give back to local and international communities. Below is a quote from a Spanish interpreter and Stanford student, Wendy Bravo, who translates for patients in the Emergency Room at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center - an essential service because the hospital does not have in-house interpreters on weekends or over-night shifts:
| "I felt almost as if I were the doctor at times, since the patients look to me when I answer their questions or clarify what the doctor had just told them... I felt important because I knew I wasn't just following a doctor around, feeling like an invisible person. I was an important contributor to the ER." |
